New system in three months, full automation of airport parking operations
Key information
Assured Technologies approached us with an urgent project to create a new system for managing parking operations at a British airport. The existing ParkIT solution did not meet operational expectations and did not support automation or integration with tools used by employees. The implementation time was minimal because the previous system’s license was expiring, and the institution could not afford service interruptions or reputational risk. In approximately two thousand hours, we completed the analysis, architectural design, and full implementation of Go Plan, which automated key processes, integrated with airport systems, and enabled modern parking management.

About the client
Assured Technologies is a dynamically growing technology company operating as an independent entity within the Assured Europe group. It specializes in modern systems supporting vehicle logistics, fleet operations, and processes accompanying airport traffic management. The company focuses on tools that ensure operational predictability, reduce manual labor, and improve vehicle flow in highly variable environments.
Its portfolio includes solutions such as GO-Move, GO-Trak, GO-Plan, and GO-Scan, which address the key needs of the car rental and airport industries. These systems support vehicle rotation and monitoring, coordinate parking processes, and utilize artificial intelligence for automatic damage detection, which strengthens quality control and shortens operation times.

Initial project requirements
Assured Technologies approached us at a critical moment for one of the British airports that planned to replace its existing parking system with a modern solution. The previous system’s license was expiring, so the institution needed a reliable alternative ready to launch within just a few weeks. The client had only an initial functional concept that had not yet been translated into system architecture or detailed requirements, and time pressure did not allow for long preparations.
Assured Technologies was aware that creating a comprehensive tool without external team support would be risky, as internal resources were already involved in other key implementations related to fleet operations and AI integrations. Based on this, the client asked us to quickly join the project and take responsibility for the analysis, architectural design, and construction of the complete Go Plan system in a very short timeframe. Although the expectations were ambitious, previous cooperation meant the client trusted our ability to operate under high pressure and the necessity of an immediate start.

Challenge
We carried out the project in an operationally sensitive environment, as the system was to become part of a key airport parking service process, where every error affects punctuality, passenger experience, and safety. An extremely high level of availability and reliability was required, and the new tool had to operate stably from day one without a tolerance period for faults.
An additional difficulty was the short time to prepare a complete solution to replace the existing system used for years. Current processes were deeply embedded in the organization, while the client had only an initial functional vision, which required rapid analysis and refinement of details. An equally large challenge was ensuring compatibility with many existing tools used at the airport, including infrastructure for processing reservations, scanning devices, and reporting systems.
Every element of the new solution had to enable smooth work for multiple operational teams handling hundreds of vehicles and reservations daily; therefore, the project required full control over technical risk and precise design of processes from the perspective of field users.
Project goals
The goal of the project was to create a complete operating system for airport parking management that would replace the existing solution without any work interruption and ensure a high level of process predictability. Key assumptions included building the tool in a very short time and precisely tailoring it to the needs of the teams responsible for vehicle handling.
The most important project goals:
- Increasing the reliability of parking services by implementing a stable, high-availability system.
- Reducing manual activities through the automation of processes related to parking, relocation, and vehicle release.
- Ensuring full compatibility with existing airport infrastructure and integration with external systems responsible for reservations, code scanning, and reporting.
- Organizing operational work by creating modules for space planning, vehicle traffic management, and coordination with the arrival and departure calendar.
- Increasing control over vehicle flow by introducing tracking of employee activities and vehicle location history.
- Providing an ergonomic interface supporting field work, enabling operations via a mobile application without the need for constant computer use.
- Preparing the foundation for further automation of parking operations and the use of AI technology in the future.
Each of these goals was intended to facilitate the daily work of airport staff, increase operational efficiency, and ensure full process continuity.
Solution description
We prepared a solution that reflects the full cycle of airport parking operations and enables their execution in a predictable, fast, and automated manner. The project was carried out at an intense pace with parallel analysis, implementation, and integrations, which allowed for the delivery of a ready system in a very short timeframe.
1. Architecture designed for high availability
- rapid clarification of requirements in the analytical phase
- preparation of an architecture supporting work continuity and operational stability
- immediate start of implementation thanks to ready DevOps infrastructure
2. Modules reflecting real airport processes
- parking structure including locations, zones, and lines
- module for managing vehicle intake, care, and release to the customer
- tracking vehicle movements, location history, and recording employee responsibility
- central calendar synchronized with arrivals and departures
3. Field work automation
- full replacement of manual activities with QR scans
- assigning QR codes to all key stages of the process
- performing operations without the need to return to a computer
- operation via mobile devices and a web application
- reduction of service time thanks to “on-the-go” activity registration
4. Integrations with existing airport infrastructure
- automatic import of reservations from an FTP server
- support for label printers and scanning devices
- compatibility with the GO-Trak reporting system
- communication with devices and systems used at the airport, including legacy ones
5. Platform prepared for further automation
- open architecture ready for the implementation of key lockers, self check-in, and self check-out
- possibility of easy Go Plan implementation at other airports
- foundation for subsequent features based on artificial intelligence
The whole creates a solution that not only replaced the previous system without a transition period but also organized parking operations and prepared Assured Technologies for further digitalization of airport processes.
Results and business effects
The implementation of Go Plan allowed the airport to seamlessly replace the existing system and improve key operational processes. The system has been operating stably since day one, and the automation of field activities has significantly reduced vehicle handling time.
Key effects:
1. Work continuity without downtime
The system took over full parking service without disruptions, which ensured operational stability and protected the airport from organizational risk.
2. Faster vehicle handling
The use of QR codes allowed operations to be performed without returning to a computer, which noticeably shortened the handling time for each reservation.
3. Better organization and predictability
The calendar linked to air traffic improved space planning and vehicle flow, increasing control over parking occupancy.
4. Higher data quality
Automatic activity registration improved information consistency and translated into more accurate reporting in GO-Trak.
5. Readiness for scaling and further automation
The system was prepared for implementations at subsequent airports and expansion with self-service functions and AI modules.
Go Plan brought an immediate increase in efficiency, improved the quality of operations, and created a solid base for the development of Assured Technologies’ digital infrastructure.
Client testimonial
From the beginning of the project, we knew that time was against us, so we needed a partner who could quickly get up to speed and translate an initial vision into a working system. After just the first few days of cooperation, we saw that the team was efficiently conducting analysis and building the solution in parallel, which allowed us to maintain a demanding schedule.
